After announcing they’d aquired the license for the Lucky Star OVA earlier the year in Wondercon, Bandai confirmed the release date for the English dub as the 4th of August.

The OVA, featuring six seperate stories during it’s three-quarters of an hour running time, is a slight departure from the slice-of-life of the series, and focuses on more absurdist situations, some bordering on the surreal, including a dream sequence, the characters playing a MMPORPG, a scene from a dog’s point of view, and frogs. It culminates in a live-action version of the Lucky Channel segment which rounded off each episode of the series.
